CONTESTS

Meritage Homes teamed up with Whirlpool Corporation to create a lighthearted sweepstakes for their fans. To enter, participants had to submit the craziest item they put down their garbage disposal. With more than 788 wacky and quite funny entries, there were a total of 8 winners who received an array of prizes, including Whirlpool garbage disposals and gift cards.

The end result created a large spike in social media impressions and engagement for both Meritage Homes and Whirlpool Corporation. There were more than 546 social shares from participants during the contest and a large buzz around the sweepstakes, especially via Twitter. Meritage looks forward to launching several other sweepstakes throughout the year to create continual engagement with their fans and happy homeowners.
