Opening Ceremony for the 2012 Olympic Games

This year’s Olympic Games will host an opening ceremony made for the media
The moment we have all been waiting for, the opening ceremony, will begin tonight at 6:30 PDT! This year’s opening ceremony has been taken to the next level with Danny Boyle, the director of Slum Dog Millionare, directing the entire extravaganza. The show will feature 10,000 adult volunteers, 900 children, 12 horses, 10 chickens, nine geese, three cows and a flock of sheep! Boyle explained to CNN, “The Ceremony is an attempt to capture a picture of ourselves as a nation, where we have come from and where we want to be.”
This is also the most digitally friendly year for the Olympics that we have see thus far. Viewers will be watching the games live from, not only their televisions, but from their smart phones, laptops and live streaming.
