Hi all! My name is Nikki, and I am a Public Relations Account Executive at Serendipit Consulting. I’ve been with #TeamSerendipit for almost two years now, and cannot imagine it any other way! From office yoga, a dog-friendly office and a refrigerator fully stocked with beer — it doesn’t get much better than life at Serendipit.
In the PR industry no two days are the same, whether it’s breaking news or a trending story on social media, things can change at the drop of a dime. I never know what exactly a day will bring, all I know is that it will never be boring. I’m not one to love repetition and doing the same thing day in and day out, so the PR world has been a great fit for my dynamic personality.
Make coffee. Drink coffee. Repeat. That’s how my day typically begins while I scroll through The Daily Skimm, a fun and quirky way to get the low-down on the world’s top trending news. While still sipping my (second…maybe third) cup of coffee, I start scrolling through my emails and respond to anything pressing for my clients. After that, I begin to pitch out relevant stories for my clients to local, national and trade media, coordinating TV segments, radio interviews, print articles, bylined articles and more. You’ll always know when the PR team secures an awesome media win — you’ll either hear us hit the Serendipit gong or shout out a loud cheer.
Since working at Serendipit, I’ve had the opportunity to work on several client accounts, across all different industries. I have managed PR campaigns for Orangetheory Fitness, Robbins Brothers, The Engagement Ring Store, Beckett’s Table, Intelligent Technical Solutions, Rocky Mountain Restoration, Two Brothers Tap House & Brewery and more. I love learning more about industries I’m not familiar with, so having clients all across the board has allowed me to challenge myself and prove that any industry can benefit from PR efforts.
#TeamSerendipit’s PR team has secured some awesome coverage that I’m extremely proud of:
- Orangetheory Fitness was featured on ABC’s national show, The List discussing exercises to jump-start your New Year’s Resolution: http://www.thelisttv.com/the-list/jump-into-2017-with-3-high-intensity-workouts
- Bodify, a CoolSculpting boutique was featured on the front page of The Arizona Republic’s Arizona Business Gazette: https://serendipit.egnyte.com/dl/qDoZ3hqHDk
- Adopt Technologies President was named the Phoenix Business Journal’s AZ Top Tech Exec Award Winner: http://www.bizjournals.com/phoenix/print-edition/2016/05/13/az-top-tech-exec-awards-rising-star-brett-helgeson.html
- Rocky Mountain Restoration was featured on NBC 12 News Phoenix, discussing tips for snowbirds to get their home ready before escaping the heat: https://serendipit.egnyte.com/dl/lvSxHhQ9KQ
I’m beyond lucky to work alongside a team of individuals who constantly motivate me to think outside of the box, do things differently and that nothing is impossible. The people (and the dogs) make work enjoyable day in and day out, I never know what to expect when I walk through our agency’s doors, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
