Tech Time –
It has been a sad week, not only in the world of technology, but all over the globe as people everywhere mourn the death of Apple founder, Steve Jobs. Jobs died on Wednesday after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.
The world has changed thanks to him. Here are some of our favorite quotes from the genius:
“Stay hungry, stay foolish.”
“Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose.”
“I want to put a ding in the universe.”
Thanks for everything, Steve. Our thoughts are with you.
App Update –
We don’t want cancer to be the theme of this week’s post, but we can’t forget that October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Rethink Breast Cancer just launched a unique app called, “Your Man Reminder.” With this app, you can pick a hunky man to remind you to give yourself a self-exam, or as they call it, some TLC – Touch, Look, Check. Men and women can both be diagnosed with breast cancer, and the key is to catch it early. This app is such a good idea for such a good cause!
Flash of Fun –
Tired of your friends showing off their bilingual talents on Facebook? Me too, mostly because I have no idea what the heck they are saying. Well stress no more, because Facebook just launched a translation tool that will allow you to see a comment on a Facebook page in English with just a click of the mouse. Can’t wait to test it out!
By far the biggest news of the week was the death of Steve Jobs. In what way has Apple changed your life? How do you think Apple will do after the loss of their muse?
