Ever feel like your Facebook wall is being neglected, even though every person you know actively uses their account? Perhaps you just aren’t signing on at the right times! A recent study by Vitrue has analyzed data from Facebook to find out when users are the most active. Interestingly enough, the three busiest periods are weekdays at 11 a.m., 3 p.m., and 8 p.m. In fact, the article listed Wednesday afternoons at 3pm as the most consistently high-traffic time on Facebook. Let’s back up a second, here… aren’t most people at work on Wednesday afternoons? Another noteworthy finding was that morning posts tend to be responded to more than afternoon postings, as more people are likely to see them. The moral of this Facebook story is simple; knowing the times of user interaction is vital to getting your posts read and keeping your users engaged! Of course, this study is not meant to undermine content, or to imply that simply following their rules will appease all customers. However, one more piece of knowledge gained is always helpful in our minds! Make sure to check out the article on Mashable for more information.
