In August 2016, Modern Acupuncture – the world’s first acupuncture franchise – was being founded. One month later, Modern Acupuncture named Serendipit as its agency of record to help with brand development, franchise and consumer marketing, public relations and more.
In December 2016, Serendipit kicked off the brand’s media relations efforts. Within the first 12 months, Serendipit secured 98 national, regional and local PR placements for Modern Acupuncture. The brand PR campaign was a major driver of franchise leads and consumer interest in the high-growth brand.
Significant PR wins included Franchise Times, Entrepreneur, Franchising USA Magazine, ABC News, FOX News, MSN News, NBC News, and more. Each PR win posted on Modern Acupuncture’s social media saw a spike in engagement with likes, comments, and shares. Video news segments posted on social media accounts performed significantly better than the brand’s regular social media posts. In fact, this campaign won a 2018 PRSA Copper Anvil Award of Merit!
