It was an exciting week for Serendipit – we kicked off some exciting projects, had a movie day AND our co-owners Alexis and Melissa launched their brand new podcast, Will It Stick?

While this is all pretty freakin’ big news, and although I am in no way, shape or form contractually obligated to discuss Will It Stick?, the podcast does take the spotlight in the weekly roundup!

Check out the podcast site here:

Synopsis of the first three episodes:

  1. LifeLock’s CEO Wants You To Steal His Identity: Take a look at the history of LifeLock, an identity theft and security monitoring company. Find out the crazy stunt that CEO, Todd Davis, performed in giving out his social security information to thousands of people in order to prove just how good their company was.

  2. South Dakota Is On Meth: Lex and Melissa take listeners back in time to Monday, November 18, 2019. That morning, South Dakota’s new governor unveiled a new campaign featuring the headline “Meth. We’re On It”, which was subsequently plastered on billboards, advertisements and social media all across the state.

  3. Aviation American Gin Takes Off With Ryan Reynolds: Alexis and Melissa talk about Ryan’s early obsession with Aviation American Gin in 2017 and how he quickly jumped into the business by buying company shares and becoming its creative director. They discuss Ryan’s roles in films and how he works to get other people, like George, involved in his business ventures. Working with a “small budget”, Ryan proves that he wanted to subvert the norms for marketing. Find out more about his auto-reply emails and “accessibility” to the public.

Serendipit Random Radio Song Addition Of The Week

“Party Up” – DMX. RIP. Some fantastic quotes from a legend…these are actually quite pertinent for us marketers:

“I don’t like anything about Drake.”

“Anything that’s not positive, I don’t have the energy to focus on it. Anything that’s not going in the right direction, I don’t have the time or the energy.”

“You can’t speak for the people unless you’re able to walk amongst the people. And how many of these rappers out here actually hang out with regular people?”

“To live is to suffer. To survive, well, that’s to find meaning in the suffer.”

“The minute you get too big to mop a floor or wipe a counter, that’s the exact minute you have life f**ked up.”
